Alumni Association benefits from CSU-affiliated Visa credit card
"This is a great way to show your pride as a CSU graduate, save money, earn great rewards and support CSU just by making everyday purchases -- at no additional cost," said Ray Lakes, executive director of the CSU Alumni Association. The CSU Rewards Visa® Credit Card earns cardholders 1 point for every dollar spent in net retail purchases. Cardholders can redeem points for their choice of travel on any airline with no blackout dates, merchandise, merchant gift cards or 1 percent cash back. There's no annual fee for using the card and a zero percent fixed APR on balance transfers for the first six months. The card also offers fraud protection, 24/7 customer service and online account access.
Collaborating with the association on the card is PartnersFirst, which serves "affinity groups" across a wide range of special interests and affiliations, including colleges and universities, professional associations, sports, outdoor sporting and wildlife conservation organizations and many more. Columbus-based TSYS, where many CSU alumni work, has an agreement with PartnersFirst Affinity Services, a division of San Diego-based Torrey Pines Bank, to process its consumer credit card portfolio.
