Alumni, friends honored with awards (full news release)

More than 200 alumni and friends of CSU gathered April 12, 2007 in the Cunningham Center for CSU's annual President's Recognition Banquet. Troy Woods, '74, chief operating officer of TSYS, was presented with the 2006-2007 Thomas Y. Whitley Distinguished Alumnus Award. CSU President Frank Brown presented the 2006-2007 Alumni Service Awards to:

Brown also recognized four non-alumni for their long-term interest in and concern for CSU and its students, naming them Honorary Alumni. One honoree, Maxine Schiffman, was unable to attend. Another, Chuck McClure, was honored posthumously. Presented their membership as Honorary Alumni by CSU President Frank Brown were:
